Description:  This course covers information and required steps needed to implement Equitrac Office and Express 5.7 for use in a highly available DCE print release environment using Equitrac’s Distributed Cache System. This implementation is designed to allow users to release print jobs at MFDs without interruption, even in the event of a failure between the MFD and Device Control Engine (DCE). In addition, the training covers minor changes to the simple and non-high availability standard installation process.

Objectives:  After completing this course, the learner will be able to:

• Explain the purpose of the caching mechanism for Simple and Standard (non-HA) installations
• Identify changes to the installation process for Simple or Standard (non-HA) implementations
• Describe the High Availability DCE Print Release feature
