Description: The focus of this course is to provide product training for Kofax TotalAgility 7 on how to take an existing Kofax Capture (KC) or a Kofax Transformation Module (KTM) solution and migrate to TotalAgility. You will complete the course utilizing instruction and hands-on labs to develop administration and operation skills for the software. The result will provide technical skills necessary to become knowledgeable in migrating projects to Kofax TotalAgility 7. Attendees will be able to build a capture enabled process incorporating separation, classification, extraction and validation capabilities and other standard components of a KC or KTM solution.

Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understand components of KC/KTM
• Understand what components of KC are migrated automatically to TotalAgility
• Understand what components of KC must be manually recreated in TotalAgility
• Understand what components of KTM are migrated automatically to TotalAgility
• Understand what components of KTM must be manually recreated in TotalAgility
• Exhibit competency using Kofax TotalAgility Designer
• Import and modify the Capture Starter Pack Process that will provide similar capabilities as KC to perform separation and classification, extraction , and validation steps
• Build and customize Web-based Forms for the manual activities in the Capture process
• Configure Export Connector (Database Export)
• Insert/configure nodes in process to replicate custom modules/workflow agents in KC and Project Scripts in KTM such as:
• Bypass Document Review
• Split Job (batch)
• Quality Control
• Re-create Script Formatters
• Re-create Script Validation Rules

Methodology:  Illustrated lecture and discussion, demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises. Knowledge retention and ability to product documentation will be measured by a 40 question certification examination.

Audience:  This course is intended for technical professionals who need to understand how to migrate a KC/KTM solution to Kofax TotalAgility. 

Prerequisites: To maximize the learning experience, it would be beneficial if the student had the following:

• To maximize the learning experience the student should already be certified in:
• TotalAgility Essentials
• TotalAgility Design & Configuration – MCC
• It would be beneficial if the student also had the following:

• Experience in Kofax Capture and KTM
• Awareness of programming concepts (you do not have to write code in this course)
• Basic working knowledge of:

• SQL databases
• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
